Rev. Dr. Wayne G. Boulton

The Rev. Dr. Wayne G. Boulton is a retired Presbyterian minister living in Boston. His love for the Reformed tradition blossomed early. While a student at Lafayette College, he led Religious Emphasis Week and was an elder in the College Church on campus. A McCormick Seminary graduate, he and his wife (Vicki) spent two years as Frontier Interns in Bangkok, Thailand. As a religion professor at Hope College (MI), he was an award-winning teacher, chaired the Higher Education Committee for the Synod of the Covenant, and taught at Synod Schools. In 1992, he became President of the Presbyterian School of Christian Education (PSCE), a graduate school for Christian educators and now part of Union Presbyterian Seminary in Virginia. In four pastorates since then (Annapolis MD, Baltimore MD, New Vernon NJ, and Charlestown MA), educational ministry for all ages has been his central theme. The Boultons have two sons. Matt is a professor of ministerial practice at Harvard Divinity School, and Chris is an ABD doctoral student in communications at the University of Massachusetts. The author of three books and at work on a fourth, Dr. Boulton will be offering an adult education hour immediately preceding worship for St. Timothy’s attendees.
