Rev. Marvin A. Northcutt was born and raised in Oklahoma, graduated Oklahoma City University in 1962, graduated Perkins school of theology at Southern Methodist University in 1965. He became a clergy member of the Yellowstone conference of the United Methodist Church in 1965. Heserved parishes on the Flathead reservation, St. Ignatius, Hamilton and Laurel,Mt.
He served one term as District Sup't of the Billings district of the Yellowstone conference. His last appointment was at Epworth United Methodist Church in Kalispell,Mt. where he served for 16 years until retirement in 1999.
He has served interim pastorates at Whitefish, Plains and Paradise, Mt. plus a variety of camps and training institutes over the last 45 years. Also served as a delegate to the General conference of the United Methodist Church.
His spouse is Glenda, who taught in Laurel and Kalispell elementary schools prior to her retirement in 2002. They spend their winters in Mesa, Az where they attempt to keep young while playing tennis 6 days per week. They have two offspring: a son in Grants Pass, Or and a daughter in Geneseo, N.Y.
